James Daniell
VP, Artificial Intelligence and Computational Biology
Dr. James Daniell has served as Vice President, Artificial Intelligence and Computational Biology at LanzaTech since 2023. In this role, he oversees computational research and broader AI strategy, leading teams in bioinformatics, systems biology, machine learning, data and software engineering. Since joining LanzaTech in 2014, James has held various leadership roles, including establishing several research and development functions. He has over 12 years of experience as a published author and inventor in the field of gas fermentation. James holds a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from The University of Auckland. He has also completed executive education at Stanford Graduate School of Business and studied the impact of science and technology on society at Sciences Po Paris.
